Mimo Dia (or Mimo Dia Leydimen, on Facebook) holds a Bachelor degree in Earth Sciences and a MSc in Chemical and Biological Analysis from Cheikh Anta DIOP University (UCAD), in Senegal. After a stint at the Pasteur Institute in Dakar, he continued his studies at the Pasteur Institute in Alger. Before graduating from the University of Paris 6 with a master’s degree in Silico Drug, he spent some time at the European Biological Research Center. Mimo Holds another college degree in computer science. A committed political activist and a true Pan-Africanist, very early in his career he started defending the rights of oppressed peoples, while working with his peers to reconquer African authentic values. Mimo is the head of a Pan-African Platform called “New Dynamics of the African Diaspora” (NDDA), whose aims is to bring together African activists and public and political figures as a means of combatting the tyranny of the State.
